Seasonal Harvests & Celestial Skies

Seasonal Harvests & Celestial Skies

We've got our own version of luminescence this October season.

Full moons, full harvests, and Fall colors oh my! Although October tends to be a busy and productive time of the year, it is also a festive time when many cultures around the world celebrate harvest. This is the time of year when certain fruits, vegetables, and grains are ready to be picked and communities give thanks to a successful harvest as they prepare for the winter ahead. From Mid-Autumn Festival to Sukkot, and everything in-between, this is an enjoyable time of year to gather and share blessings with friends and family. It's also a welcome reminder to us that agriculture is a foundational source of culture, one of the several reasons we were inspired to begin our Fruit Lovers Collection

October is also a gorgeous time of year when colors change, making it easier for us to appreciate changes in foliage and evening skies. Around this time of year, the moon's orbit is closer to Earth, resulting in a longer period of bright moonlight. As we approach winter days when the sun is lower and the days are shorter, we might also notice that pearly moons are more visible during the daytime against blue skies, a celestial phenomenon we've captured in the artistic design of our Light Kindred Spirits booklet, a multi-page letter card ideal for curling up with a cup of tea and writing Fall blessings.

For those who are passionate about fine pens and paper, we'll be participating in the Empire Pen State Show in New York City on October 11th - 12th. Come by and enjoy the tactile experience of leafing through and testing out your own writing experience on our open samples. We'd also love to hear how you are enjoying this season of harvests and celestial wonders.
