Welcome back from summer! We hope you're enjoying the crisper, cooler days when changing sunsets are ideal for catching up with friends after August travels.
In case you missed it, we introduced the first item of our Fruit Lovers Collection this past month, the Adventure Lemon. We loved attending the SF Pen Show and DC Pen Supershow in August to talk about the craftsmanship behind our unique designs. In keeping with our pursuit of using textures and language to connect people across culture, we were excited to include unconventional materials of acrylic combined with paper in our most recent collection release.
You can see more through a video review of our fruit collection at the DC Pen Show, as well as read about behind-the-scene details such as our use of screen printing to create white textured outlines and phrases that visually pop on the surface, and our careful hand application of neon paper lining behind each individual card to ensure the colors and contours of our designs line up every time.
While the neon paper lining on the back of our (soon to be expanding) acrylic products allow you to write your own message so that a loved one might place the Adventure Lemon on their desk as a daily reminder to live life to the fullest, we've also seen some gift them as decorative art that can be enjoyed and displayed in the home. Our bilingual Spanish version in particular has charmed more than a few with its expression, "¡Sácale el jugo a la vida!", bringing smiles to those who enjoy squeezing the juice out of life.
